BE PATIENT! When a pregnant lady wants to be photographed, you never really know what she's "expecting." She's tired and hormonal and she changes her mind like you'll change camera settings.

Essential maternity photography tips - 1 to 3

Get her in the comfortable zone and make her feel beautiful

Make sure the room is set to a good temperature if you are shooting inside. It's okay to ask if they run a little warmer than usual.

Have some snacks available in case it's a longer shoot. They'll love the thoughtfulness of you being prepared.

Have a comfortable seating to be able to sit if tired.

Pull that beauty out of her. You should be able to say things like: "That's beautiful!" or "Oh that's just LOVELY." "Pregnancy looks good on you girl!" Whatever works!

There are some recommendations that you should photo your bump sometime around 28-32 weeks - perfect timing to show off your belly!
